Who We Are
Zeal International School, Mattanur was established in 2012 (under the name Malabar English School till 14th Jan 2023). Heritage charitable and Educational Trust took over the school in 2013 and shifted to the new spacious and Eco-friendly campus in 2014. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education New Delhi and duly recognized by Department of Education, Govt. of Kerala.
Ever since our management took over the reins of the school it has been functioning uniquely.
Zeal International School opens its gate at Mattanur for boys and girls to a world of futuristic education with modern Teaching methodology and Hi-Tech classrooms, wi-fi zones, Theatre, well-stocked library and laboratories, play-ground, Turf, cycle tracks, acupressure hut etc, which ensures academic excellence, physical fitness, spiritual and cultural enlightenment.
Zeal International has become pro-active in embracing technology with a commitment to expose our students to the digital world to support lifelong learning skills.
Zeal International School believes that love for education should be developed in a child in the initial years and conditions should be created for them to pursue a positive approach in life.
The ethos of the school not only promotes each child to realise his potentials and uniqueness, it also nurtures our students to practice empathy towards people and environment.
Depth and variety are added to each student’s life by the school’s traditions and accessibility to a broad curriculum.
A unidirectional teaching method is being increasingly substituted by a multidirectional group workshop method. Here the teacher becomes the group coordinator initiating work, nurturing students without expression is emphasized upon. Home assignments are not a carry-over of class work but oriented towards developing individual talents.
There is openness and room for parents to participate in the welfare and growth of their wards. Zeal International School provides space for children to think, express, exhibit their skills and also empower them to negotiate several issues that confront them – the teacher being a facilitator. At Zeal International School, we believe in holistic development, which is why we have dedicated Saturdays to our skill development programs and remedial teaching ( pass program). These programs cover a wide range of areas, including football, cricket, basketball, karate, yoga, abacus, archery, skating, and more. By engaging in these activities, our students not only enhance their physical fitness but also cultivate essential life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.
I am proud to share that our academic performance has been outstanding. In all 10th CBSE Board examinations results, this year 6th batch , we achieved a remarkable 100% pass rate, with our students excelling in their respective subjects. These remarkable results are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, as well as the support and guidance provided by our dedicated faculty.

Zeal International School aims to ensure that high standards of quality and professional service and so the staff undergo a comprehensive induction programme and regular professional development programmes to ensure that the strategies, methods and resources used reflect the standards of best practice from around the world
The performance of Headteachers and all staff is subject to regular review and from this, further training needs are identified. Our ongoing program. Our training programmes are subject to stringent evaluation for quality assurance purposes and are continually updated to ensure that high standards of teaching and learning are maintained. This enables our staff to be at the forefront of good practice and also prepares them to progress within the organisation.
